Strategic Communications Planning and Execution
I have more than 15 years of experience in internal, external and crisis communications as well as a strong record of collaborating with executives and thought leaders to achieve results.
I engage leaders throughout organizations to define objectives and communicate complex topics in clear, authentic and understandable language.
From employees to customers to investors, I tailor key messages to reach the groups vital to achieving organizational goals.
I revel in creating “ah ha” moments that break through informational clutter. This means tailoring messages to the media most likely to reach key audiences.
Today’s constantly changing media environment means strategies for reaching external audiences must continually evolve. Press releases, media relations, websites, social media – I create strategic communications plans using the channels and tactics that best reach stakeholders.
Employees are any organization’s most important asset and audience. I work with leaders to make sure teams understand the organization's mission, focus on a common vision and exemplify shared values.
From hostage situations to hurricanes, crisis communications and business continuity have been hallmarks of my career. I help prepare teams and build a framework for response to any disaster.
It all starts at the top! I get to know leaders’ voices and help them hone communications delivered via multiple channels – employee communications, press releases, video scripts, talking points, social media posts and more.
All of the professional skills I have gained in my career grew out of writing. To become a good writer, one must first become a good listener and must develop strong critical thinking skills. I am a word person to the core!
I led a team that rebuilt Calpine Corporation's public website from the ground up.
